Refugee making xenophobic remarks

Buy video

A refugee in Cape Town shouts xenophobic remarks at a coloured police office in Cape Town. The refugee can be heard saying that coloured people don't belong in the African continent.

This clip was filmed on 1 March while refugees were trying to occupy the St Mary's church opposite South Africa's parlaiment. They had earlier been removed from the area around Greenmarket Square in terms of a court order.

Coloured people are mixed race people in South Africa. The refugees have been demanding to be resettled in another country out of fear of xenophobic attacks.
