London Tesco branch shuts its doors early on Monday
This branch of Tesco in Woolwich, south-east London, closed its doors two hours early on Monday (March 16) over reasons suspected to be related to panic buying over coronavirus.
In this footage, a voice over the tannoy can be heard saying "we are temporarily changing the closing times of our stores" before urging customers to finish shopping.
Tesco replied to a curious customer on Twitter who asked why this had happened. The supermarket chain said they would know tomorrow morning.
