The Greek government has decreed a further lock-down across the Hellenic nation after closing all bars, cafes and shops on Saturday 14 March 2020 to try and curb the spread of the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic. This video shows a normally bustling main street in Alexandroupoli Evros Greece totally deserted, with only a few shops still trading (mostly food shops, coffee shops and take-aways). With not a single restaurant allowing customers to sit down at a table, serving take-away only. Further measures coming in on Wednesday 18 March 2020 will limit the number of people in supermarkets. The government said supermarkets, supply food chain stores, caterers, pharmacies, gas stations, car repair shops and banks would be exempted from the general lock-down.
