Artist uses sand to signify the importance of Corona awareness in North India
A sand artist attempts to increase awareness of the coronavirus amongst tourists traveling to Varanasi in Northern India
This incident took place in the city of Ballia at Uttar Pradesh on March 16, 2020
Rupesh Singh has started this practice as the holy city of Varanasi has always been a popular tourist attraction especially since it has been connected with the Buddhist circuit which has a lot of tourists from Bangkok, Japan, and China.
He believes that since Varanasi is also home to several Ghats and temples, it attracts thousands of tourists, both foreign and domestic.
Therefore he has decided to explain the coronavirus and how to protect ourselves from it through beautiful sand art.
