“Due to this positive case, the leaders of the VA Caribbean Healthcare System made the decision to suspend ambulatory care services and non-emergency elective procedures at the Veterano Hospital medical center in San Juan, to safeguard the health and well-being of others. patients, their families and the staff of the institution, ”they indicated in writing.

What is specified is that the person infected with coronavirus was sent home with care counseling by clinical staff. That residential treatment is based on the recommendations of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The state epidemiologist, Carmen Deseda, reported that the Veterans Hospital had carried out the COVID-19 diagnostic test on 26 people and of these 10 were negative.

With this case, there are six infections of the coronavirus in Puerto Rico.
