Given the national emergency that El Salvador is experiencing due to the Coronavirus (Covid 19), the state University of El Salvador (UES) is manufacturing gel alcohol to supply the needs of this product, given the shortages generated by the quarantine in the country, root of the spread of the Coronavirus pandemic. Authorities and teachers of the Faculty of Chemistry and Pharmacy of this university, are supporting the efforts of the government and of mayors and non-governmental organizations, manufacturing this disinfectant so that it can be distributed in vulnerable sectors of the country, although they do so with equipment limitations. and raw materials, since the laboratory is prepared for academic and learning purposes. The state university is basically providing the support of the teaching staff and the entities that require the raw materials to be able to manufacture the alcohol gel. To date, El Salvador only records one confirmed case of Coronavirus.
