South Florida City Shut Down Suddenly Due to Coronavirus
What started as a normal Friday in Delray Beach, Florida -- with people filing onto the beach and into bars and restaurants -- ended with the beach, bars and restaurants suddenly closed by an executive order issued by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis. Shortly before noon, the governor released the order, which closed the beaches, bars, restaurants and non-essential shops in Palm Beach and Broward Counties. The order remains in effect at least until March 31. Not only are the beaches closed, but the parking lots that serve them are off-limits, too.
