Police in the major Greek port city of Thessaloniki carry out checks on citizens walking along a major promenade on Tuesday.

Previous video obtained by Newsflare showed hundreds flouted the lockdown imposed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Here, citizens show police special documents or other evidence signalling that they're allowed out.

"Police are handing out fines of 150 euros for people who are out of their houses without proper permission," the filmer said.

Greece has had 20 fatalities until now.
