Apocalypse now? Toronto's Etobicoke Creek is blood-red after company spills INK in water
Walking home from work, a Canadian encountered the shocking view of the Etobicoke Creek in Toronto, Canada, in an unusual blood-red color on Tuesday (March 24).
"I was coming home from work when I saw the crimson river," the filmer said. "Pulling over to take a photo, I walked to the middle of the bridge and took a few photos...Watching it back on my Gallery left me with an unusual eerie, chilling feeling."
A company had spilled 400 liters of red ink into a local creek that it looked like the water was running red with blood.
The Ministry of the Environment and Conservation and Parks confirmed it was not hazardous to wildlife. The agency began to clean up as soon as it was notified of the spill.
