Heavy police presence at a suspected murder-suicide in Astoria involving and man and his grandmother.

Upon arrival on March 26, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 96-year-old female and a 50-year-old male with multiple stab wounds about the torso. EMS responded and pronounced both deceased at the scene. The Medical Examiner will determined the cause of death.

Police say it was likely a domestic dispute between a mother and grandson that ended in a murder-suicide.

On Thursday, March 26, 2020 at approximately 0800 hours, police responded to a 911 call at 25-35 14 Place, within the confines of the 114 Precinct.

Upon arrival, officers observed an unconscious and unresponsive 96-year-old female and a 50-year-old male with multiple stab wounds about the torso. EMS responded and pronounced both aided deceased at the scene. The Medical Examiner will determined the cause of death.

Police say it was likely a domestic dispute between a mother and grown son that ended in murder-suicide.
The identity of the deceased is pending proper family notification.
