Amid the deadly coronavirus pandemic, the demand for hand sanitizers and hand rubs have skyrocketed across the country.

Seizing the opportunity, a group of youth manufactured native sanitizers at their own expense and distributed them to all the villagers in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

The incident took place at Mota Desar village in Una Block of Gir Somnath district on March 26, 2020.

The novel Coronavirus is prevalent all over the world and people are using safety measures like wearing masks to cover their faces and hand sanitizers to disinfectant their hands.

In the rural parishes of Mota Desar village, there are overworked working-class and uneducated people who are not aware of the safety etiquettes required to fight the coronavirus outbreak.

In recent times, due to the over excessive demands of hand sanitizer, medical shops are unable to supply enough sanitizers to the customers.

30 youths from the Army Running Group waited for the government to provide sanitizers to all the villagers, but that never happened.

Following this, they decided to make their own sanitizers.

The video shows, a group of youth manufacturing local sanitizers by boiling one litre of water and putting 100 grams of cucumber and 20 to 30 basil leaves into the solution.

The mixture is poured into several bottles with 15 grams of camphor placed inside them, hence, creating their own hand sanitizers.

They visited every household in the village and distributed the packages.

Following this, they demonstrated how to use the sanitizer and its purpose in preventing the COVID-19 spread.

Then youths are the example of an ambitious work that inspires the whole country amid the 21-day-long nationwide lockdown.
