Honey badger accidentally falls into well, hauled out by locals after marathon rescue operation in eastern India

After a marathon operation, locals have managed to rescue a drowning honey badger from a large well in eastern India.

The incident took place near Khurdha forest division, Odisha, on March 28, 2020, at 11 AM.

According to reports, the animal had strayed out of the forest and fell into the well.

Hearing its desperate cries, the local spotted the drowning animal and rushed to its rescue.

Following this, a broken branch was thrown at the honey badger, for it to climb onto it.

After several attempts, the animal was hauled out of the well.

Surfacing out of the well, the animal dashed into the forest.
