A woman from Kent in southeast England has created goody bags for ambulance workers from donations gathered from the local community.

Laura Lawson from Bromley in Kent created the food bags out of donations that included soups, sweeties, biscuits, dog food, hot chocolate, tea, coffee, milk, rices, protein bars, cakes, fruit and juice boxes. She also handed over dog food as well as toiletries, shower gels and even beauty vouchers.

She had launched her appeal for donations on Facebook and took the items to Bromley ambulance station for those on-shfit.

"It's great when people come together to help others," Laura wrote in the caption on the video, shared on social media.

Laura wrote on Facebook: "All of what you see in the video is the second run of many for Bromley Ambulance Station for all of their staff who are putting us before their families. Thank you for everything you have done and continue to do. We love you β€οΈπŸš‘πŸ’™ #NHS."

The donations were for the working staff. Lawson told Newsflare: "In the Bromley borough, most of the ambulance stations are closing down and will instead all be based out of the Bromley station. What with so many staff having to self-isolate, the teams are extremely short-staffed and overworking. They're tired and unable to have breaks and are finding it difficult to go to the shops after shifts due to the current changes in store opening times.

"The goodie food bags were used as a packed lunch/dinner for their shift to help them along the way with a bit of sugar and protein!"

Photos shown at the end show Laura putting smiles on peoples faces while delivering the goodie bags on March 30.
