Hong Kong police was seen detaining at least four people during a protest at Prince Edward MTR station on Tuesday (March 31).

According to local media, Hong Kong police are arresting those violating the "Prevention and Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation" which prohibits any gatherings of more than four people during the coronavirus pandemic.

Protesters are marking the seven month anniversary of the August 31, 2019 Prince Edward station incident in which Hong Kong police allegedly indiscriminately attacked passengers during their arrests.

Hong Kong Riot police seem to have carried out for the first time, arrests of people for violating the " Prevention & Control of Disease (Prohibition on Group Gathering) Regulation" which prohibits any gatherings of more than 4 people during the protests at Prince Edward MTR station. According to other media, the persons were fined 2,000 HKD each. In the footage shown three people are carried to a police van by the police, among which a boy who appears to be minor.

After warning of an illegal assembly, police charged forward and arrested one man. It is unclear what they reproached him. Every 31st of the month, Prince Edward MTR station sees clashes between police and Hong Kong protesters who claim people died in the station during a violent police intervention on 31st August 2019.
