When Millersville, Maryland parents go to prank their two kids by dying the family almond milk green, their older son is not very amused while the younger girl is shocked and scared on Tuesday (March 31).

Sadly, it's a new normal and everyday is going to be another memory of the time we may refer to as "the pandemic.” Yet, we as parents are facing the challenge of making sure our kids understand the gravity of the moment while still building happy memories. It's a choice that we make all the time, even at 1 am to celebrate a foolish holiday. Clearly the jokes on us!" said Joe, the dad who filmed this encounter.

So our son, Ben, loves every holiday. If it's on a calendar we have to celebrate or at the very least, observe it. So on March 31st, right before bed, he says, "I can't wait to see what you guys do for April Fools." My wife and I looked at each other telepathically screaming, "Why!" While social distancing my wife and I have been squeezing all the juice from the fruits of parenting. Despite the fruit becoming increasingly dry with a lack of pulp, the kids want more. So we told him nothing was going to happen and to get it out of his head that something would. We were tired but didn't want him to be disappointed. So at about 1am on April 1st I said to my wife, "We have to do something." Ultimately, we landed on three pranks and this was the first.
