Conservation officials in Betul, India, managed to rescue and relocate a Russell's viper after it was swallowed and spat out by a much larger Indian spectacled cobra.

Residents called local officials on March 28 after they found the pair of snakes that are both highly venomous and Adil Khan, a snake rescuer, arrived on the scene.

After 45 minutes the cobra finished its meal and began to throw the viper back up. According to Adil, snakes bring up their food if they are in danger.

Adil was shocked to find the viper was still alive after being swallowed by the cobra and he then rescued and relocated the snakes to safe places.

On Saturday evening Adil Khan, who works for wildlife and nature conservation in sarni and also a President of People for animals (unit sarni) got an snake rescue call in A.b.type colony Sarni dist. Betul, Madhya Pradesh.

After visiting at rescue location Adil found an Indian Spectacled cobra feeding on an Russell's Viper. As both Snakes are highly venomous, residential people got panicked. So Adil, told them "not to worry, he will rescue cobra once cobra completes his meal"


After 45 minutes cobra finished his meal, i.e, Russell's Viper. So Adil started his rescue operation. As we know snakes vomit their food whenever they found their self in danger, so similar thing happened here. While rescuing cobra vomit his meal (Russell's Viper), however adil rescued cobra and after that adil found that Russell's Viper is alive. So he rescue Russell's Viper too.

Adil told us that this is so shocking that Russell's Viper is alive even after fully eaten by cobra, as we know once snake got eaten by other snake they died.
