The Government of Makassar City, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, together with the police carried out a new policy by asking health workers to examine anyone who crossed the border between Makassar City and other Regencies, Saturday, April 4, 2020. This policy was carried out to prevent the spread of Covid-19.

Every person who passes will be checked his body temperature. If it is found to have a temperature above 37 degrees Celsius, it will immediately be handled by health workers.

In addition to checking everyone's body temperature, vehicles are also sprayed using disinfectants to prevent Covid-19 transmission into the city of Makassar.

The Acting Mayor of Makassar, Iqbal Suhaeb, participated directly in observing the activities of health workers in checking the body temperature of people entering Makassar City.

Iqbal Suhaeb said that the policy of examining everyone who entered Makassar was aimed at reducing the spread of the corona virus. It was also said, any person found to have increased body temperature, will immediately be handled by health workers.
