Curious locals flocked in numbers to a cowshed where a leopard was found dead inside the facility in northern India's Himachal Pradesh.

According to reports, the incident took place on April 6 in Sirmaur district of the state.

Visual showed the carcass of the predator lying on the floor as locals inspected the animal.

At least three bulls were seen moving around the facility, reluctant to get inside the shed.

Though the incident has not been filmed, it is believed the leopard attacked the bovines as the latter had bruises on their bodies.

Earlier, the leopard had injured at least three people, including two women and a child.

Later, it entered the cattle ranch belonging to Madan Singh. Upon hearing his cattle make loud noises, Singh went in to check on then and was shocked to find the leopard there.

While he closed the door and shouted for help, none of his neighbors came to his help.

The fight between the bovines and the predator lasted for nearly two hours, reports added.

The injured persons are undergoing treatment presently.
