Quarantine was carried out after information was circulated that 3 crew members of PT Pelni were suspected of being positively infected with COVID-19.
The medical team from the Makassar Class 1 Port Health Office, the Health Office, and the Makassar Health Laboratory Center (BBLK), equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), conducted a swab test on the suspected crew and several samples in each section of the ship that arrived at Makassar waters.
