146 Crew of KM Lambelu Quarantined and Inspected to Prevent Covid-19 Spread

146 crew of the KM Lambelu Ship that sailed from Maumere, NTT, underwent a quarantine process in the waters of Makassar, about 2 nautical miles from Soekarno-Hatta Harbor, Makassar, South Sulawesi Province, Indonesia, Thursday 9 April 2020 in the morning. Quarantine was carried out after information was circulated that 3 crew members of PT Pelni were suspected of being positively infected with COVID-19.

The medical team from the Makassar Class 1 Port Health Office, the Health Office, and the Makassar Health Laboratory Center (BBLK), equipped with Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), conducted a swab test on the suspected crew and several samples in each section of the ship that arrived at Makassar waters.

In addition, officers also sprayed disinfectants inside the ship to prevent the spread of Covid-19. (*)
