Family creates home supermarket for 87 year old dementia mum (captioned version)

A family living in home-isolation during the COVID-19 pandemic created a very touching moment for their live-in relative suffering Alzheimers disease and Vascular Dementia. Without her weekly shopping excursion for groceries, 87 year old Hendrika van Genderen suffered from anxiety, depression and complete loss of her short-term memory. In a beautiful experiment, the family created an in-home grocery store to help re-connect her with one of her most treasured weekly routines.
