Rescuers pull out cat stranded inside dry well for four days in southern India

Volunteers from an animal rescue team pulled out a cat from inside a dry well in the southern Indian state of Telangana.

The rescue operation took place in Nampally area of Hyderabad district on April 13.

Video shows volunteers using torchlight to locate feline inside the well.

After spotting it, a volunteer lowers himself inside the dry well. Once he receives a bag from his teammates, the volunteer carefully uses a towel and places the cat inside the bag.

The bag is then pulled out slowly by his teammates.

The man climbs up and opens the bag, letting the cat out.

According to the reports, the cat was stuck in the well for four days.

The team rushed to the spot after getting a call in their helpline number from locals.

The operation lasted for two hours.
