Python caught inside family's bathroom in Bangkok
A python was caught after looking for food in a woman's bathroom.
Ploy Thicha was woken up by her sister after she was frightened by the snake rampaging through their bathroom on April 2 in Bangkok, central Thailand.
The girls then called the emergency workers to catch the snake. The rescue team spent only fifteen minutes to grab the serpent because it was not fierce and wild.
Footage taken by Nong Ploy shows how the 6.5ft long python was caught by the gear stick, curling itself around the rod.
No one was harmed by the serpent and it was released into the thick woods by the rescue volunteers.
Ploy, who is heard talking to the snake with a sweet voice, said: "I thought the snake may have been looking for late night food during the night-time curfew. We want to thank to the rescue team, both residents and animal were safe."
The python is believed to have ventured into the house while looking for food as urban development and months have drought have depleted food and water availability for snakes in Thailand.
