Rock python falls into well, hauled out by forest department officials in western India

Forest officials in the western Indian state of Gujarat pulled out a snake from a deep well after being informed about its presence.

The incident took place at Vadivistar in Lalpur taluk of Jamnagar district on April 14.

According to reports, the reptile, identified as a rock python, was stranded inside the well.

Visuals show officials lowering a rope and pulling out a tree branch as the python coiled around it.

Once out, officials release the python.

According to reports, forest officials rushed to the spot, moments after locals reported the presence of the reptile inside the well.

Seeing the snake struggling to come out, a broken branch was thrown at the python, for it to climb onto it.

After several attempts, the animal managed to crawl onto the branch and was hauled out of the well.
