Indian Air Force Chopper on COVID-19 duty makes emergency landing on expressway due to technical glitch in Northern India

An Indian Air Force Chopper (IAF) makes emergency landing on an expressway, while on COVID-19 duty due to some technical issues in the north Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.

The incident took place on Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Baghpat near to Ghaziabad on April 16.

The video shows, the chopper on the expressway, while the cops are seen managing the vehicle movement. Later on the chopper is seen taking off from the expressway, after fixing the technical glitch.

According to the reports, the chopper was on Coronavirus duty, as many of the IAF aircraft are being used for service of the people to fight the deadly disease.

The IAF stated in a statement, that the Cheetah helicopter was travelling to Chandigarh from Hindon Airbase, Ghaziabad carrying a set of samples of COVID-19 suspects from Leh.

Chopper returned to the Hindon Air Base after the technical glitch was fixed on the expressway.
