At midnight on March 30 policemen from the Byappanahalli Police Station stopped a speeding vehicle and found a calf wrapped in a plastic cover.

According to local media, occupants of the car claimed they found the abandoned calf on their way home. A police probe later found their claim to be true.

Adorable footage, from April 14, now shows the white and brown calf, who was rescued a fortnight ago, inseparable from Station House Officer Mohammed Rafi.

Mohammed Rafi named it Bhima and feeds the calf milk, gram, pulses, and other cereals, according to the recommendations of a veterinarian.
