Amid nationwide lockdown, a wild tusker that strayed away from the forest was seen strolling on the streets in the eastern Indian state of West Bengal.

The incident took place in the village of Kalabani, Jhargram district on April 17.

The video shows, an elephant strolling on the streets making the local people frightened.

A group of boys spots the elephant coming out into the streets and starts shouting in fear.

With humans locked indoors, the lockdown has paved the way for several animals to reclaim their habitats amid the residential areas.
