Heavy snowfall lashes many parts making life more complicated for people amid lockdown in Northern India
Fresh snowfall cripples life of people who are mostly indoors to abide by the COVID-19 lockdown in the north Indian state of Himachal Pradesh.
The massive snowfall was witnessed in Lahaul - Spiti district on April 18.
The video shows, the ground, houses and trees covered with thick snowfall.
A man is seen clearing the snow from the side of his house to ensure transit.
According to the reports, several roads and even National Highway 5 is blocked in the state due to fresh snowfall making transit difficult.
The people have been facing a lot of problems due to fresh heavy snowpack on the ground and difficult to even go get essentials to daily need.
Even the supply of chain of essentials has also been affected due to the roadblocks caused.
The state so far has recorded 38 COVID-19 positive cases and two deaths related to the disease.
