Locals frantically harvested hundreds of frogs that were drawn out by the strong rain in Phayao, northern Thailand.

Footage from Friday (April 15th) night shows the residents wearing headlamps which they point into the direction of the water looking for toads and frogs.

Napada Keaosima said they were enjoying catching the frogs to release some energy after the long home quarantine due to coronavirus.

She said: "We were bored living in the house and have nothing to do, so after the rain falls, we were happy because we know that there will be several amphibians outside.

"Bringing the children in the area will also teach them our traditional ways of life and have fun together.

"However, when catching we need to race against time because we have to go home before the curfew. We will wait until the morning to sell them for a little extra money."
