Agus Widanarko, a social activist with his wife Vivit Sari, wore a Batman costume while distributing masks to the poor people in Solo City, Indonesia, on April 20.

In the midst of an increasingly widespread coronavirus pandemic, Agus, a resident, was infected because he didn't wear a mask when outside the house.

Agus Widanarko wears a Batman costume and his wife Vivit wears the costume of Gundala, a native Indonesian fiction superhero.

The charity was carried out because for the poor people to buy masks was quite burdensome. Moreover, they have to wear masks all day since the government requires the use of masks in their daily activities.

"The poor are finding it very difficult to buy masks that are expensive at the moment because they earn very little at this time," said Agus.

In addition to distributing free masks, the activity also aims to provide education to the community to maintain cleanliness by changing masks every day.

"People should be able to change masks every day, so that they are healthy when coronavirus spreads," Agus added.

The community enthusiastically welcomed this activity, as evidenced by hundreds of masks made of washable fabric being handed out within 30 minutes.
