Many wild animals are venturing out in India thanks to a countrywide lockdown due to Covid 19 virus.

A huge rat snake of 6.5 feet length entered a house in Bhubaneswar in eastern India and took refuge inside a shoe rack. A resident saw the snake inside and shut the door immediately and called Snake Helpline for rescue.

Subhendu Mallik of Snake Helpline rescued the snake and released it safely in its natural habitat.

“It's challenging to rescue snakes during the Covid 19 pandemic. Rescuers should wear masks and maintain strict social distance,” said Subhendu.
