Breaking Corona Virus Spread, Traditional Markets in Indonesia Closed for Sterilization

Efforts to break the chain of the spread of the corona virus, the city of Padang, West Sumatra Indonesia, closed the traditional market area, since Monday, April 20, 2020. Closing in order to expedite efforts to sterilize the market by spraying disinfectant liquid. Market closure is expected to last for five days.
Before spraying, traders are assisted by officers to move the stalls of street vendors or traders who sell by the side of the road. This removal is so that spraying can run optimally.
The city government also deployed three fire engines and dozens of officers, so that spraying and sterilization can run quickly and optimally.
The closure and sterilization of Pasar Raya Padang was carried out after the discovery of 17 traders who were positive covid 19. With this finding, the local government had designated the largest market area in West Sumatra Province as the red zone and transmission of the corona virus spread. Even the spread has been in four levels.
