A pair of brave geese defended their goslings from a curious dog while taking a walk through a park in Cardiff, Wales, on April 19.

Wildlife photographer Ewan Wilson captured the scene as the birds hissed at the pooch, warding it off.

On a walk during lockdown in the United Kingdom, wildlife cameraman Ewan Wilson spots a family of geese wondering around the unusually empty park. To the surprise and shock of the geese they spot a potential predator, a tiny dog!

The geese are not taking the dogs presents lightly and almost immediately begin taking an agressive stance against the prolific pooch. The geese hiss and hold there heads up against the pooch and within seconds they charge. Luckily for the dog her owner was not far behind and was able to hold off the offensive birds.

The goslings (baby geese) are beginning to hatch at this time of year, so this means the older geese are becoming very defensive over there small patches of land. Normally, the birds will tolerate dogs and there owns but during this delicate time when they chicks are so young not even a large canine will deter these defensive birds.
