Man rescues snake trapped in fishnet in northeastern India's Assam

A man in the northeast Indian state of Assam rescued a snake from a house where it was found trapped in a fishing net.

The incident took place in Tezpur on April 22.

As soon as the members of the house spotted the big black snake struggling to free itself from the fishing net, they informed the forest department officials.

Forest department officials along with a snake rescuer rushed to the spot.

The video shows, a man cutting the fishing net carefully to free the snake from the net.

After releasing the snake from the net, he caught it by its tails and put it inside a cage.

Later, police personnel along with forest department officials took out the snake from the cage and set it free in the forest.
