Two leopards were seen resting on the side of a road that wore a deserted look due to a curfew in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.

The incident took place between Bhowali and Ramgarh of Nainital district on April 23.

The video shows, the leopards lying on the road, relaxing and playing with each other. The big cats wander into the bushes after noticing a vehicle nearby.

According to the reports, its was as though the big cats were making love on the road, on noticing the vehicle they decided to part ways, stated one the witness.

Most of the people have been forced to stay indoors as India went into lockdown on March 23. The restrictions- which have been implemented by authorities to stall the spread of the deadly novel coronavirus disease- are expected to be lifted on May 3.

The lack of human presence has enabled animals to roam freely amid the lockdown.

Meanwhile, the state has recorded 47 positive cases of COVID-19 and no deaths related to the deadly novel coronavirus, while 24 of them have already recovered.
