A farmer found a six-legged frog in his pond which he believes has been bringing him good luck.

Nikul Nueangwanna was amazed after seeing the amphibian in one of the pools in his breeding centre business in Phayao, northern Thailand.

He said that he keeps hundreds of fish and more than three thousand frogs but this six-legged creature jumped onto wife Nikul's lap when she was feeding them on April 22nd.

They looked closer and noticed the frog has four normal legs and another two limbs protruding from its back.

The farmer believes that the frog, which he suspects is around six weeks old, is responsible for an increase in profits at his business in recent weeks.

He said: "This frog might be good luck from the heavens. We will keep it with us, but we are willing to give it to any Buddhist temple that wants to take care of it."

After the news had spread across the village, the neighbours visited the home to see the amazing frog and some used the house number to pick their lottery numbers
