India has continued to receive medical kits from China in their fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Footage from April 24 shows medical kits being boarded onto the plane’s cargo compartments and aisles of the passenger seats.

India has continued to receive medical Kits from China to fight the COVID-19 pandemic. The cases have skyrocketed in a few days leading to the import of more number of essential test kits.

One such flight carrying essential medical test kits like RT-PCR test kits, Rapid antibody test kits, PPE Kits, thermometers etc. landed on 25th April at the IGI airport of the Indian capital, New Delhi, from Guangzhou, China.

The consignment was headed towards India by a special Air India passenger plane (AI3622/23) led by frontline corona warriors Captain Abhiraj, Capt. Mayank Kumar, Capt. Harishankar, Capt. Ajit Ojha (First Officer), Capt Prateek Sharma (First Officer) with their team of 8 crew members.

The captain continues to show a lot of medical supplies filled in the aisle section of the aircraft as the passenger seats remain vacant and covered by plastic sheets.

The Ministry of External Affairs has confirmed that 20 more flights were expected to bring around 400 tonnes of medical kits from its neighbouring country.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) will be examining the test kits before they are brought to use for the patients and the public.

Earlier, some of the consignments were found to be faulty as they produced certain results under certain circumstances.
According to reports, the medical test kits were procured from Guangzhou Wondfo Biotech that provided 3 lakh kits and Zhuhai Livzon Diagnostics that provided 2.5 lakh kits.

So far, the Indian government has ordered 37 Lakh antibody test kits from China but have received 7 lakhs till now with this consignment.

The Indian government has also planned to source "6 SUV-sized high-speed testing machines" from Roche in the US.
