This is the fascinating moment two snakes were spotted performing a 'mating dance' in the western Indian state of Gujarat.

The incident took place in Ratad village of Gir Somnath district on April 25.

Visual shows the snakes coiling around each other while raising their bodies.

According to the reports, the snakes wrap each other and dance to subdue each other.

The ritual lasts up to an hour, this allows the male snakes to define their territory and ensure the safety of their mates.
