Shocking moment heavy equipment operators in Indonesia almost hit by two landslide aftershock
This is shocking moment heavy equipment operators in Indonesia interrupted by two aftershocks while cleaning up landslide material on the road.
In footage filmed on Monday (April 27) officers from the Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) Office of West Sumatra Province cleaning up the landslide material that closed the Bukittinggi - Padang alternative road in Malalak sub-district, Agam Regency.
Falling ground is a sign that a landslide will suddenly descend from behind, making the operator stop his work to avoid danger.
Once safe, the operator who returned to work was interrupted again by falling small stones from the cliff in front of him.
Aftershocks that were right above it made the operator control the machine quickly avoiding, for fear it a sign of a large rock on the top left it would fall.
Landslides in this area occurred on Saturday (April 25). The rain that still flushed this area made several aftershocks again close the road that has been cleared.
Roads can be passed by vehicles after four days of cleaning up the landslide on April 28.
