Law enforcement officials brave strong water flow, rescue cow trapped in ditch in northern India

A cow that had been trapped in a river for over 24 hours, was rescued by law enforcement officials in the northern Indian state of Uttarakhand.

This incident took place in Chamoli district on April 28.

The video shows locals and officials using ropes to tie it around the bovine's neck and pull it out of the ditch.

According to reports, officials rushed to the spot after being informed by locals about the trapped bovine.

Authorities collaborated with locals to rescue the cow and save it from being washed away at the Chuflagad River.

As the cow was trapped, police officials had to brave the strong water flow and enter the river with ropes.
