A fascinating video has emerged from the northern Indian city of Chandigarh, where law enforcement officials were seen implementing an innovative method to catch uncooperative COVID-19 suspects, patients and rule-breakers.

The incident took place on April 25, 2020

The video shows local police using an iron device with a latch to entrap a man while isolating him.

Officials then whisk away the man and force him to mount a van, kept in order to transport those nabbed.

These preventive measures are essential to prevent the spread of the virus onto authorities who are at risk of contracting the disease.

Chandigarh, the joint capital of neighbouring Punjab and Haryana states, has recorded zero COVID-19 death and 56 cases, according to official data.
