This is the amusing moment a mother found out that her daughter dyed their pet dog green during the coronavirus lockdown.

In the video, the confused mother is asking her daughter Caitlin O'Connor why the clueless dog Ted's white fur had turned green when it entered the kitchen.

She screams: ''What did you do to Ted? Caitlin, what is that green stuff?''

''Dog hair dye?'', responds a slightly nervous Caitlin.

The video was recorded in the family home in Derry, Northern Ireland, on April 27 and amused viewers on social media.

Speaking after, Caitlin joked that the ''highlight of lockdown'' was ''dyeing the dog green without my mammy knowing''.

She added: "It's a hair dye designed for dogs so it's safe. I didn't expect that reaction from my mum."

Pet lover Caitlin pointed out that as the dog dye is not permanent the colour will soon fade away.
