As Hong Kong's coronavirus lockdown measures have eased protesters were seen back on the streets on April 30.

Footage shows demonstrators donning facemasks as they commemorate the "8.31 attacks" at Prince Edward station.

Subsequent clips show protesters hoisting a colonial flag of Hong Kong as they march towards Mong Kok.

Today, as every end of month since August 2019, people came to bring flowers to the Exit B1 of Prince Edward MTR station. Hong Kong Protesters allege that people died during the police intervention on 31 August 2019 at that same station, despite lack of any evidence or testimonial on what happened that night. As usual, riot police had established a cordon, and in an innovation observed since February 2020, pro-democrat district council members stand outside the station and receive white flowers (the color of mourning in Asian cultures).

As protesters commemorated 8 months since what they call the "8.31 Attacks", during which riot police intervened violently in the Prince Edward station, a couple of individuals held colonial flags of Hong Kong. Although one of the protesters is a regular fixture on all protests since 2019 with a colonial flag and a US flag, this illustrates the nostalgia of a part of the population for the colonial era, seen as giving them more hope and freedom than under the Chinese yoke.

As Hong Kong protesters attempted to commemorate what they call the "8.31 attacks" at Prince Edward station, a small group of mainly senior individuals attempted to start a march to Mongkok, with cries of "Hak Ging". The embryonic march never arrived to Mongkok, nor did it elicit much support.
