In 2020, grass jelly producers in Palembang said that grass jelly sales declined. This is because the raw material for making grass jelly is quite expensive and difficult to obtain due to the ordering of raw materials which has been hampered by central government law which imposes large-scale restrictions (PSBB) in various cities in Indonesia to prevent the spread of corona virus (Covid-19).
