Irish internet comedian Stevo Timothy, whose videos have over half a billion views on social media, is set to do a 5km cycle for charity, despite the fact that he is paralysed from the chest down.
Famed for his portrayal of "Farmer Michael", Timothy is being cheered on by world heavyweight boxing champ Tyson Fury and Irish international soccer icon Paul McGrath as he prepares to defy his disability in support of the Irish Wheelchair Association.
With almost €20,000 already raised Stevo, who uses a wheelchair himself and also uses crutches when walking, is training on an exercise bike ahead of the 5k attempt at the end of May, and he has taken some tentative spins on a real bike to test his balance.
Interested media can reach Stevo via social media (@SirStevoTimothy on Twitter) and follow the fundraising effort here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/stevos-5k-for-the-irish-wheelchair-association
