Man narrowly escapes being run over after dramatic car crash on Chinese expressway
A man’s narrow escape was spotted on an expressway tunnel in southern China.
In the CCTV footage captured in Hangzhou's Qinyuanling tunnel, a white car stopped in the overtaking lane and the driver got out the car to check the right rear wheel.
The vehicles coming from behind evaded one after another. Suddenly two cars couldn't avoid the white car. The man quickly dodged one of the cars and was nearly hit by the other. He finally staggered and crawled to the emergency parking area.
Then a man and a woman also got out of the white car. Another car rushed over and knocked down the main driving door before stopping. Fortunately, No injuries were reported.
After an investigation by police, the car that hit the white car’s door was responsible for the accident as it was too close to the white car at the time of the accident and did not maintain a safe distance.
The white car stopped due to its malfunction and the passenger got out of the car to check and wanted to place a triangle sign. So there was no responsibility for the white car, but a better parking location should be encouraged.
The video was filmed on May 5 and provided by local media.
