Officials rescue 12-feet-long venomous cobra in southern India

Officials have rescued a 12-feet-long king cobra in the southern Indian state of Karnataka.

The incident took place at a coffee estate in Bittangala near Virajpet of Kodagu district on May 5.

According to sources, since May 3, the reptile was spotted lurking around in the area.

Following this, the labourers were scared to work inside the estate.

Hearing the news rescuers rushed to the spot to rescue the venomous snake.

The video shows two men rescuing the snake and putting it inside a trap bag.

After several attempts, the duo hauled the cobra out of the bush by grabbing its tail.

Following this, they secured the reptile inside a trap bag.

The snake was later released into the Nagarahole National Park.
