If you've been following my posts over the past few weeks, you will have seen me sharing wildlife videos from the past 11 years. It was only in 2009 that the price of HD video cameras dropped to the level I could afford, and the Sony camera the size of a can of beans, that I bought then to do the State of the Gorilla Journey (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LramufCBDPk), is still going strong.

This morning, my day began well when I opened the bathroom curtains to see a handsome male roe deer, browsing on the new leaves of self-seeded raspberry canes and wild plum, up the slope of our garden in #Stroud. Then a pair of pheasants joined the party so I grabbed my 'can o' beans' camera to capture this peaceful scene, which becomes my 49th - and newest - #BrightenYourDay video to connect people with #nature while cooped up in #Covid19 #lockdown. Hope you are getting out to watch wildlife, whether slugs, birds, butterflies, reptiles or mammals - all of which have featured in this series, and which I hope has given you moments of quiet contemplation.
