Large snake caught sheltering from the rain in Thai family's kitchen pots and pans
An experienced snake catcher helped to rescue a fierce snake that had slithered inside a family's front yard to shelter from the rain.
Reptile handler Thanadon Noonoi rushed to his neighbour's house to help them catch a copperhead rat snake in Phang Nga, southern Thailand on May 2.
Footage taken by his friend Thaktirat Konta shows Thanadon looking for the wild animal that had hidden itself under the kitchenware. He then grabbed the serpent before taking it into a sack with his bare hands.
Thanadon said: "I came here not to harm the snake, I only wanted to save its life. It will be taken back into the woods where it belongs to."
A copperhead rat snake is one of the nonvenomous species of colubrid, so called "Ngu Taang Mapao" in Thai. They are found throughout Southeast Asia and are harmless to humans.
