Snake takes a tumble when attacking lizard in Bangkok
This is the amusing moment a brave lizard chased away a snake that tried to eat it.
The tokay gecko was on the garden wall with its back turned when the green tree snake slithered along about to pounce.
Such lizards are a favourite meal for the snakes and they are regularly seen falling victim to the predators.
However, on this occasion, the gecko bravely stood its ground during the altercation on May 4.
CCTV footage from the house in Bangkok, central Thailand, shows how the snake slithered along the wall and tried to snare the gecko.
It then quickly retreated, followed by the large gecko chasing after it and knocking it off the wall onto the ground below.
Resident Oe Suchet Ritteephamorn later noticed the snake on the ground slithering away into woodland and watched back his security cameras.
He said: ''The snake thought it was going to find its dinner, but in the end, it was lucky to have escaped the attack.
''The lizard was definitely very angry. It looks fearsome the way it chases after the snake.''
