Murray the burrowing owl and Koko the Newfoundland have a chat. Both animals work in therapy with autistic children. They are unusual friends. The video is a captured moment, not posed and this type of interaction happens between the two on a daily basis. Koko (5.5 yrs old) has lived with owls since she was a puppy. The owls live outside but come into the house on a regular basis for socialisation. Murray weighs 160 grammes and Koko weighs 57 kg but Murray is definitely the boss. Koko is a typically relaxed Newfoundland, a breed renowned for their gentle nature.
